Publisher reserves the right to reject copy not in keeping with the standard of the publication, as well as the right to reserve or change special placements of ads. Ads composed by Mullen Publications, but not run, are charged at cost of composition. A commission of 15% is allowed recognized advertising agencies providing advertising materials and actively handling account.
Terms: Net 15 days; a 1-1/2% charge is applied to past due accounts each month.
Southern Textile News is a 5-column tabloid newspaper, printed by web offset on 35 lb. high bright. Total page size of Southern Textile News is 11 3/8” wide by 17” deep. Width of center spread is 21 1/2” wide by 16” deep. Mechanical measurements of printed area of a page is 10 1/4” wide by 16” deep. Each column is 1 7/8” wide by 16” deep for a total of 80 column inches per page. Other widths: 2 columns - 4,” 3 columns - 6 1/8,” 4 columns - 8 3/16.” There are 224 agate lines to each column; 1120 to each page.
Material requirements are as follows: 1st choice - Film negatives, right reading, emulsion side down, 100 line screen maximum for all tones; 2nd choice - Original camera-ready artwork with properly registered overlays for color and screened areas.
Reproduction of materials other than above at advertiser’s risk. All materials requiring extra handwork will be charged $65.00 per hour.
Our banner ads are 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels deep. If designing the ad yourself, the images should be in gif or jpeg format, at the 468x60 size. Our staff will also be glad to design an ad for you.
Our Internet ads animate in three stages at 2 seconds each, or two stages at 3 seconds each. Static banner ads are accepted and encouraged, and will be shown on screen at 6-second intervals.
Colors should be web safe and should be set to a minimum. If sending jpegs, use a quality level setting of 50%. If sending gifs, make sure interlacing is turned off, that dithering is set to 100%, and that "web snap" color is set at 20%. We highly recommend using only one photo image in the advertisement.
FOUR COLOR PROCESS: Additional $450.00 charge per page for four-color process ads. 100 line screen negatives are necessary.
SPOT COLOR: Standard AAAA red, orange, blue, green, or yellow. Additional charge of $175.00 per color per page. PMS MATCHING IS NOT GUARANTEED.

Southern Textile News inserts are handled in strict compliance with US Postal regulations (Sec. 132.44A Postal Services Manual). ADVERTISERS MUST CONTACT SOUTHERN TEXTILE NEWS PRIOR TO PRINTING THEIR INSERT TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE WITH POSTAL REGULATIONS. Delivery of prepared inserts must be NO LATER THAN TEN DAYS prior to publication date. Preferred insert stock is 70 lbs. minimum.
